But sometimes, we just get generally excited and giddy about things, and I figure that’s probably worth sharing too.
Little known fact: none of us give a rat’s arse about the Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland.
More obvious fact: WE ARE ALL BREATHLESSLY ANTICIPATING TIM BURTON’S REMAKE.
I have loved Tim Burton for a loooong time, mostly because I love his use of color. (Yes, I’m THAT person.) And since he’s gained some amazing followers .. Helena Bonham Carter (Burton), Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman .. he’s just become that much cooler. AAAAAND he tackled my favorite musical of all time and actually made it REALLY watchable (Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.. Miss Lovett is a role I plan to play before I die).
So his remake of the incredibly trippy fairy tale has us just chomping at the bit.
Even more so?
THERE IS MAKEUP ASSOCIATED WITH THIS RELEASE.
Remember how I said I loved Tim’s use of color? Apparently I’m not the only one who noticed.
I saw OPI release a line of Alice inspired nailpolish and immediately fell in love with Mad as a Hatter, and the other night Ronda gushed over Ulta now carrying the Urban Decay Alice makeup set. (Sidenote: Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liner is the BEST eyeliner on the planet.)
So while we won’t be attending Avatar 3D in blue, you will TOTALLY see us lining up for the premier of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland (by Tim Burton) with sparkles and shimmers from head to toe.
