While busily reading the internet for things to be snarky and superior about…I came across the news that Kate has gotten HAIR EXTENSIONS! We were just talking about her hair last night…and now she has extensions! I hate to admit it…but not only am I INSANELY jealous (because at Southern Fried Snark we LOVE fake hair) but it actually looks pretty cute! In the whole scheme of things she seems to be weathering the storm better than Jon (or his Ming vase). Bless his heart.

I have long been considered getting a wig wardrobe, I despise doing my hair that much. At least until I become famous and can hire someone to fix my hair daily and drive me everywhere I go.
Ronda is not at all exaggerating when she says that we love fake hair. I have a whole wardrobe of it. Because when my hair is long enough, there is NOTHING better than throwing it into a Toni Tail (search it on HSN) and going.
Here’s my problem with Kate’s new do.
Extensions are freaking expensive. EXPENSIVE. And the maintenance is huge as well. I can’t help but think that she’s spending money that should be going to the kids because we all know Jon has no way to make his 5-figure child support payment each month.
I know a guy from TLC did the make-over. Did I miss where it said it was free? If so, mea culpa.
Also? With the divorce now final, hasn’t Kate’s days in the spotlight dwindled? The PR person in me can’t help but think there was a conversation that took place with her wondering how to get back on the cover of people and someone else said, “Well! Your hair! Clearly! Because no one cares about anything else you do!”
I’m not bitter. Really, I’m not. These people just fascinate me and piss me off all at the same time.
